Carnival Themed Rehearsal Dinner
Tabitha Helms

This pretty much sums up our rehearsal dinner. It was epic. It was hilarious. It was creative. It was so much fun!
My in-laws are incredible. They simply blew us away with how everything turned out. I knew ahead of time that they were going to take a road trip to pick up carnival themed decorations from Your Homebased Mom. I knew we were going to have Underdog Gastro Truck for dinner. And I knew that it was going to be at my husband's work office, Planning Center Online.
When we arrived, we were amazed.

The decorations were beautiful, bright, and fun. We were immediately pulled over to the Kissing Booth and given lip whistles to hand out to our guests as we did a receiving line.

After we enjoyed our interestingly named hot dog choices (Freak the Greek for me!), we were brought up front to sit in some chairs for a surprise evening entertainment. We had no clue what to expect. We were told we would be the judges of the entertainment and it was announced that we would be judging a Lip Sync competition!

Reagan's brother #2 suddenly became an announcer.

Reagan's brother #3 suddenly became Anchorman, Ron Burgandy.

We were given scorecards, and the first contestant made their appearance, followed by a few more...

Suddenly Reagan's brothers #4 and #5 became the Blues Brothers for a musical interlude.

Then we were back again for the next round...

Just as I was thinking how fun it all was, but that no one from my side was in on this, my sister-in-law jumped up and started rapping. Oh. My. Word. !!!

I even will let you in on the fun:

It was so fun to look back at pictures from our friend and photographer Amanda Waltman, and some from friends and family to see how everyone enjoyed the evening.

Everyone had a wonderful time, especially us. After our whirlwind wedding day, we commented that we remembered more about the rehearsal dinner than the wedding! Haha. Such a special day. I am so blessed to have married into a wonderful, fun family. I can hardly wait for my new brother-in-laws to get married so I get to be a part of epic rehearsal dinners! ;)
