Cradle Cap
Tabitha Helms
Thankfully Judah has not had many ailments that besiege infants, but he has had some minor cradle cap. Cradle cap is a build-up of oil on the scalp causing minor dermatitis. It does not seem to bother babies, but I'm not one to leave gunk on his head, so I pulled out my trusty oils to relieve his skin.
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons Fractionated Coconut Oil (not as oily as the kind you use for cooking)
1 drop Lavender Essential Oil
1 drop Melaleuca Essential Oil
1 drop Geranium Essential Oil
Fine tooth comb
Directions:
Massage the oil blend on the scalp on the trouble areas. Use a fine tooth comb to gently pry up the crusty skin. Wash baby's hair well with shampoo. (I usually wash twice.)
Quick and easy, just the way this momma likes it!
